Let's get right into it. I have gained 2 pounds. It's week 2 and I went from 160lbs to 162lbs. It was the chick-fill-up meal...and I knew it was going to happen... I just knew it! Lately, it seems I have had a series of little mis steps and I am not happy about any of them. These mis steps make me question my seriousness about my goal...no not the goal. I am serious about that. I need to question my seriousness about the task at hand in which to accomplish the goal. Rather than be cute (although I seriously am not trying) with the posting of these little antidotes about cheating on my nutritional regimen; I have to start reporting how great it is to eat well, but I haven't been doing that exactly. In short I need to take a step back, re-evaluate my situation and really get back on track before my mis step becomes a mistake.
I should have started this goal of losing weight with a cleanse of my system. I don't know what I was thinking. No wonder I have been struggling with food choices. I am struggling with food choices because I haven't taken the proper steps to keep cravings (or the desire to long for what my body is used to having) at bay. Now because I had a small misstep ...okay I have had a few. I now know what my body and mind and heck my spirit needs. They need a purification. With that being said, I have recruited RD and we are going to begin a cleanse this Thursday. I will be blogging about this so you can also follow along. We will prep for three whole days before beginning the cleanse. This cleanse was something I did in the late part of 2009 and the result was more energy, some weight loss, feeling lighter, a reduction in belly fat (due to the clearing of debris that some experts say are stuck to the colon wall like spackle or paste... lol!), and a fresh start to adding better quality whole foods back into my system. This is a 7 day cleanse but you can go as long as 30 days. During whatever period you choose you are to only eat fruits and vegetables. Eat these raw or a little steamed along with hot tea or room temperature water with lots of fresh lemon. It is advisable to also have a colon cleansing multivitamin and a bit of protein so I like to add in a few seeds or nuts after a workout (the seeds and nuts and multi vitamin for colon cleansing are my own additions). The original source of this cleanse came from a friend of mine who is a holistic nutritionist. Her name is Linda Taylor and you can visit her website by clicking here.
