It's 2:15 am and I'm in the mist of being pissed. I'm writing this from my cell phone so I apologize for the typos that will likely ensue as I'm in the mist of being pissed. So what am I so pissed about? Well first my stomach is aching and is all gassy because I ate the wrong things for dinner last night. I went to my favorite fast food place Chic-fil-a or as I should call it...Chick- fill- up and ordered the wrong meal. Let me be real accurate here it was a self sabotaging meal. Now mind you, I could have had a salad with grilled chicken and fat free honey mustard dressing like I normally do but tonight I got the fried chicken strips with waffle fries and oh yeah a diet Dr. Pepper because "I'm watching it". Well I am pissed because I know better. I am pissed because my husband asked in the mist of my order "Aren't you going to get a salad?" I'm pissed because since I felt he was being "smart" that I "up-ed" the order to a large waffle fry. I'm pissed because I was the only one in the car that ordered anything (well not exactly... my eight year old did get a milkshake). I'm pissed because now I know I am going to gain back some of the 4 lbs I lost last week. When I am in the mist of being pissed like this I know I need to take action. I will detox and begin again this Sunday. Back to bed to clear my head. I'll probably read this tomorrow and wonder why I hit send.
Okay so now it's 6:15 a.m. and I feel a little better. I'm at my fitness studio waiting for two clients and I feel a bit better physically and mentally. You may be wondering why I got so upset over some fried chicken strips. Well, its because I'm on a mission to lose weight and meals like the one I had generally set you back instead of allowing you to move forward. Engulfing meals like the one above is where people go wrong. If you are attempting to lose weight naturally without any help (i.e fat burners) then it's important to make sure your diet/nutritional intake is monitored closely until you hit your goal weight. That means you have to be on a strict regimen with little to no deviations like big fried meals. That's not to say you can not eat at places like Chic-fil-a it, just means you have to make food choices that are " goal friendly" like a grilled chicken sandwich or salad. Had I made the right food choice you would not be reading this blog post!
